Each walk throughout the summer will have a different topic.
Event Information
Join a park ranger for an evening stroll across the expanse of Silver Sands Beach. Each walk has a different topic. The walk will begin at sunset, and we will watch as the moon rises and casts its reflection over the Great Salt Lake.
The event tour is $3 per person + the $10 (per vehicle) day-use pass to enter the park. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash.
Check in at the Entrance Station with your event tickets. Meet at the Observation Deck just past the Visitor's Center. The walk will mostly consist of approximately 1/2 mile along relatively flat terrain but with typical beach hazards.
Everyone must pre-register, we will only have 100 people max capacity on this tour. If you are not pre-registered we can not ensure you will have a spot on the tour. Registration for this event will open exactly a month before the date of the event.
If you would like to buy your day-use fee ahead of time you can do so here: https://parkspass.utah.gov/parks/UTGREA/dayuse
